These were the old curtains. Had them for the last 11 years!
So, out with the old, in with the new! We bought 6.5m (120" width) curtains from Tewah (IOI Mall, Puchong). Cost: RM35/m.
We bought them on Saturday. And voila! I had them up on Monday . It helps that there were 2 public holidays (Prophet M's & thaipusam).
The extra fabric I made into cute curtains for my kitchen and sewing room area.

Marina Bay Sands, Singapore
We went to see the musical broadway, 'Wicked' at Marina Bay Sands on Dec 16, 2011.
After that wonderful experience, we decided to walk around the area.
Here's the picture of the Ark-like Casino on top of the complex.
CNY hampers
For the Year of the Dragon, the girls and I decided to make 2 simple and identical hampers to give to both sides of the families. Identical, because I don't want to be accused of being biased. Ahem.
Here's the breakdown of the costs involved:
One stem with 3 large chrysanthemum blooms (RM20)
2 medium-sized plastic baskets (RM2)
Red ribbons (RM2)
UHU glue (RM4)
TOTAL: RM28 (for two hampers, mind you.) All bought on the same street in SS14, Subang Jaya.
This is WAY cheaper than the quotation given by the florist who wanted to charge me RM50 to make up one hamper!!
I think I'll do another few hampers next year. What do you think?
Gingerbread Men
I know this is LONG overdue. But hey, better late than never!
These are the Gingerbread Men the girls and I made for the family's Christmas Dinner.
Slightly misshapen, but authentic and tastes so good too. hehehe
