Pioneer Bonnet

Made a pioneer bonnet for myself to show off at L's American Revolution walk-through but didn't get a chance to wear it because two people borrowed it. Was at Daiso, Union City the other day and found similar looking bonnets for USD$3!!! Granted, they didn't look "pioneer" like mine but still ... mine took  too much effort. Oh well, I still love it. Not sure when I will have the opportunity to wear it again.

Ruffled Tie for American Revolution Walk-through

L has an American Revolution Walk-through coming up and needs a ruffled  tie. The teacher suggested using doily for the ruffles but I decided to sew one. I could not find any free pattern online so I came up with this. It has ruffles on one end and the rest of the tie is narrow. Used thin white cotton muslin. Should've made it wider but  I think it will be too much work for ONE wear. Also, I need to lose the double chin. *sniff*
